A firefighter was able to get all three of the people from the roof and to safety. In a split second, the smoke gained more momentum and got thicker, making it hard to see the three people on the roof. The brave citizen, identified as Oscar Rivera, pulled the man from the window while balancing himself on the roof. People in the street are heard yelling for the man to get out of the house through the top floor window. Coulthard said he takes “the view that sport is about being the best” and that periods of dominance are inevitable when one team gets it right. “It’s really great to see how much growth and how big the sport has gotten in the United States, having three Grand Prix now,” he said, referring to the races in Miami; Austin, Texas; and Las Vegas — more than any other country hosts.

Nearly all of the rooms offer access to private outdoor terraces via sliding glass walls. The co-founder of the Red Hot Chili Peppers will tour with the band later this year, to promote its latest album, “Unlimited Love.” The sometime actor will also appear in the upcoming movie “Babylon,” starring Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie. Serulnic lived in the home for decades, before eventually selling in 1998. As the listing puts it, “No expense was spared in the meticulous restoration” of this historic property. Since then, the home has been transformed from a home suitable for a family film into a seriously sensational showpiece, with period touches throughout.

These are the California cities where $150,000 still buys you a home. Could you live here?

The main home's heptagonal structure, which has two bedrooms and was designed by Los Angeles-based architect Michael Maltzan, is wrapped around a tranquil interior courtyard. It’s set on 5.7 acres, and the compound’s original structure was designed by Neutra for his secretary Dorothy Serulnic in 1953. However, he’s now ready to leave this prime piece of real estate, which he purchased in 2018 for $4.25 million. An eye-popping pair of pedigreed properties, designed in different eras by the architects Richard Neutra and Michael Maltzan, have landed on the market together. Around the time she picked up the Indiana pad, Von D also placed her Spanish-style home in the Hollywood Hills on the market for $3.4 million. For the celebrity’s fans, it is no surprise that she’s made the decision to cut ties with California.

He developed the song prior to forming the Experience and was inspired by earlier blues songs. The aesthetic was institutional furniture meets Italian grandma’s house. Formafantasma also debuted a new series of utilitarian but delicate lights for Flos made from LED strips enclosed in thick glass panels. The showrun took place the day Red Bull’s defending F1 champion, Max Verstappen, scored the team’s 100th pole position ahead of the Chinese Grand Prix. Verstappen is dominating the sport, having won a record 19 of 22 races last year and three of the first four races this year. Although longtime F1 fans have learned to love the sport through eras of dominance — which never last — many newer fans have not.

If you pass their inspection, the home will be cleared for occupancy and the red tag removed. You can either move back into the home, rent the property out, or sell the property. However, if there have been any fines and levies against the home, these will remain on title until paid. Luckily, there were so many interesting presentations on view that braving the crowds felt well worth it.

We work with families like yours in California, Washington State, Utah, Arizona, Minnesota, Massachusetts and other locations, as well with military families nationwide. The county informed the couple that their house had survived in a phone call the following day, she said. Atwater Millikin is an artist who makes paintings of New England coastal scenery, and her husband is a recently retired portfolio manager. They have owned the home for about three years but lived elsewhere on Maui for about a decade, she said. Over a week after fire incinerated Lahaina, locals are pressing for a return to work as they seek some sense of normalcy.

If you or someone else is found on the property without written authorization from code enforcement, you can be arrested for trespassing. You may be spend winter break in sunny Florida while your local burglar is hard at work. Depending on where you live, if you’re away during the cold months, a snowstorm could easily give away the fact that you’re not home. If you haven’t plowed your driveway or shoveled the front walk for a few days after snowfall, burglars might catch on that this is their moment. (You might also get a ticket from the town, but that's a whole other problem.) As with lawn care, it’s best to hire someone to take care of this for you while you’re gone. It wouldn’t hurt to have a few sets of footprints coming into and out of your house too.

Houses that have been red tagged often have a lien or a cloud on title. Most banks and lenders will not lend on a home that is not safe to occupy or has significant repairs. Cash buyers do not depend upon bank financing and often buy houses as is.

We provide continuity of care and find new local ABA providers for families anywhere in the Continental US. Some have also speculated the home was saved by sprinklers, Atwater Millikin said. It did have a sprinkler system, but so did many of the other homes in the area that burned, she said.

Whether you know what you want or are starting with a blank slate, we’ve got the vision and savvy to deliver a result that you love. If that’s not enough space, the property also has a two-bedroom carriage house on top of the large garage. Normally, the owner has 60 days from the first notice to solve the problem. Additionally, any remediation will also require permits pulled for repairs. Appreciate having a non-exclusive, seamlessly integrated, full-service leasing agency to meet all of your rental needs.

Working closely with the county and the local historic commission, they replaced the asphalt roof with heavy-gauge metal — the home would have originally had a roof of either wooden shake or thinner-grade corrugated tin, she said. They lined the ground with stones up to the drip line of the roof, which overhangs by 36 to 40 inches. In 1984, the Elementary Division was established, followed by campus improvements including a swimming pool and expanded classroom and administrative facilities. This expansion laid the foundation for Hollywood Schoolhouse’s beloved art, technology, science, performing, and athletic programs. "Red House" was first released on the British edition of Hendrix's debut album Are You Experienced in May 1967 (for the American album release, previously released Experience singles were used in its place).

Your city code enforcement department or other government entities red tag homes they consider to be unsafe to occupy. This can happen due to fire damage,  or natural disasters such as tornadoes and flooding. Code enforcement also red tags homes to stop renovations without permits from continuing. But they’ll also red tag your home for unsafe electrical, plumbing and gas issues. We’ve seen homes red tagged for simply not having the electricity turned on at the home due to lack of payment.

I stayed in a $2,554 studio cabin on NCL Epic, and it was one of the best sailing experiences I ever had

norwegian cruise line epic rooms

While many passengers in Studio Staterooms are solo travelers, som are traveling as a group of friends or family. For this reason, some Studio Staterooms feature connecting doors. Something that I immediately noticed when walking into my stateroom for the first time was the larger bed. Onboard Norwegian Epic, the bed is nearly the size of a queen bed, whereas onboard Norwegian Encore, the Studio Staterooms had U.S. full-sized beds. Though having a larger bed means that there's more space to spread out while sleeping, it comes with a cost, as there's less floor space inside the cabin.

How Many Cabins Are on The Norwegian Epic?

The 2010-built Norwegian Epic cruise ship belongs to a unique vessel class and has no sisters by design. NCL Epic was the fleet's largest vessel until the arrival of the new Breakaway-Plus class ships. The Epic has a huge variety of cabins to choose from including Spa suites, Club Balcony Suites, family Balconies, etc.

norwegian cruise line epic rooms

See The Cabins / Staterooms on the Norwegian Epic ship, photos & 360 photos

The sofa area seen in the middle is just an extra addition that the inside cabins don’t have. The average size of a balcony cabin is 18m2, the balcony cabins on the Norwegian Epic come in just under this at 17m2. The inside cabins start at 11m2 and the average within the cruise industry is 15m2. In many inside cabins, you’ll find a separate chair, or possibly even a small sofa.

Do inside cabins have mini fridge?

A Club Balcony (Formerly Mini-Suite) is essentially just the balcony stateroom with a few extra perks. Most passengers I’ve met who have upgraded to a Club Balcony don’t really see the value, especially if booked at the full rate. This page shows all the different suite, stateroom and cabin types on the Norwegian Epic.

My suitcase fit well at the bottom of the closet but it would also have fit under the bed in the cabin. On one side, there is a large closet that has hanging space and drawers too. On the inside door of the closet, there are a few baskets for small pieces like accessories. If you’re particularly tall your feet may hang off the end though and there are weight limits!

Deck Key:

Among those are the musical “Priscilla Queen of the Desert” and the Broadway-style dance show “Burn the Floor”. Epic is NCL's unique "F3 Project" liner and has no sisterships. The vessel is exactly 32% smaller by GT in comparison to Royal Caribbean's (and world's) largest Oasis-Class ships. Follows the complete list of Norwegian Epic lounges, clubs and other entertainment venues for kids, teens and adults.

Norwegian Epic Staterooms

Other than serving the purpose of a bar, club, or lounge, Bliss is also used during the day for private events and gatherings. Besides the families, couples and groups of friends who make up the bulk of Norwegian Epic's passengers, you'll also find a fair number of solo cruisers on the ship. With no supplemental fees for its single studio cabins and a lounge designed to help single travelers meet other passengers, the ship is a standout for solo cruisers. All Spa cabins (in categories H9-The Haven Spa Suite, M9-Spa Suite, and B9-Spa Balcony) have key-card access to Mandara Spa and the Fitness Center, plus 24-hour Thermal Suite access.

Post navigation

In ALMOST all cabins the beds can either be arranged as a twin or as a double bed. If you arrive and the beds aren’t set up how you’d like, just let your cabin steward know and they’ll change these for you. That said, lots of people don’t like it and I can understand why. If you were cruising with a friend it would be a little strange to step out into the cabin after a shower with only a curtain between you and your friend. The bathroom design is unlike any other and I personally quite liked it, lots of people don’t though so make sure you’re happy with the below before booking.

Norwegian Epic Cruise

I have shared a cabin with 3 other adults before, it isn’t ideal but for a short cruise it isn’t a problem. It can be quite a squeeze to share a cabin with 2 or 3 other people but it is doable and I have done it in the past. The Norwegian Epic’s cabins are some of the most controversial. Third, there is no obstruction and a direct view of the sea with nothing below. There seems to be a section that of rooms that jet out from the rest.

Last year, I sailed on a short cruise onboard Norwegian Encore, one of Norwegian Cruise Line’s largest ships. Since I've sailed on many of the Breakaway and Breakaway Plus ships, I was intrigued by Norwegian Epic, the sole ship in the line's Epic Class. Also, please note that the square footage given includes the balcony, which can vary from 34 – 107 sq.

My only complaint with Bliss on the Epic is that the age restriction hasn’t been enforced in the past 2 voyages I’ve had. While other ships seem to do a better job at keeping the 18+ rule, staff on the Epic didn’t. Attached to the Chinese restaurant, this is a bar serving traditional dumplings and dim sum. Casual pub-style restaurant/bar open late serving everything from fish and chips, burgers, and chicken wings to healthier options like salads and soups. The Family staterooms are simply rooms that are closer to activities for children and many are connected rooms.

You can compare the floor layouts for each of Norwegian Epic's cabin types. Cruisedeckplans.com also shows all the features, size information and number of cabins for each stateroom cabin type on this Norwegian cruise ship. We also show the cabin codes thatNorwegian uses to classify the different cabins on the ship. You can mouse over the cabin code for a description of the type of stateroom cabin the code signifies. The standard cabin, family cabin which can accommodate an extra person, a large balcony which is slightly larger, and a spa balcony that provides extra spa benefits. Bliss is the “Ultra Lounge” or nightclub brand on Norwegian Ships.

This includes the aqua park with huge water slides (three of them!) and a 200-foot-long tube ride into a funnel/bowl. I'm a global nomad at heart, and the dedicated editor behind CruiseGear. I want to share everything I've learned and hope to make your next cruise vacation as enjoyable as possible.

Behind the seatbacks, under the bed, in the large closets as well as plenty of other cubbies for storing used laundry and small luggage items. A note about the bathrooms on the Norwegian Epic that people overlook. With the facilities being separate, it’s more efficient for multiple people to make use of. Engage in Norwegian Cruise Line's onboard activities, including water parks, casinos, dance clubs, arcades, ropes courses, sports courts, duty-free shops and more. A Sail Away Inside stateroom guarantees an Inside stateroom or better! Your stateroom may be on any deck and assigned between time of booking up to one day prior to embarkation.

The program is free during the day and early evening, but an hourly rate applies after 10 p.m. MSC Cruises' specialty dining venues vary by ship, but typically there are three to five options. These can include Butcher's Cut for steaks and seafood, Kaito Sushi Bar and Kaito Teppanyaki for Japanese specialties, Hola! Tacos & Cantina for Latin-American-inspired street food, Ocean Cay for Mediterranean-style seafood and Indochine for Vietnamese classic with a twist. On MSC's newest ship, Euribia, French-bistro-inspired steakhouse Le Grill has replaced Butcher's Cut.

For instance, not everyone looks for a cruise line that serves afternoon tea like Princess does. You’ll also find that the general prices on the ship are higher than its two main competitors, which helps to stem some of the “party” atmosphere you might find elsewhere, but means you’ll spend more on your cruise. Norwegian — like its main competitors — is a mass-market cruise line. That means it will appeal to all ages and types with lots to do for everyone. The atmosphere on the ship is comfortable, with a relaxed vibe that has touches of luxury. You have to narrow the list down by price range, reliability, cost, and more.

There are more than two dozen lines marketing to North Americans — no two alike. Large ships have more features, but small ships have a more intimate appeal. Older ships may have been recently renovated to offer more options, while the newest ships may have spectacular features that aren’t yet well known. Newer ships may have more innovative features, for example, but are also likely to be more expensive and more fully booked in advance.

This fast-growing cruise brand has launched a dozen cruise ships since 2012. On all three of the ships in our comparison, you're going to feel the crowds at times (just ask TPG Family founder Summer Hull, aka Mommy Points, who recently wrote about the pool area pileup she saw during a Disney sailing). This is just par for the course on big, mass-market vessels that sail with thousands of people. In Carnival's case, it's Carnival Breeze, which debuted in 2012 and is one of the line's newer Vista-class vessels. For Royal Caribbean, it's Harmony of the Seas, which began sailing in 2016 and is part of the line's popular Oasis class. Disney's contender in the market is Disney Fantasy, the line's newest ship.

Virgin has chosen to target a more active and modern clientele (think GenX / GenZ) that tends to get into more fitness and yoga-related classes. Additionally, there is an emphasis on the food served throughout the ships. We’ll list each major mass-market brand cruise brand along with an overview of their target demographic and some pros & cons of each cruise line. Its six vessels carry just 148 to 342 passengers — fewer than fit on a single big-ship lifeboat — and are wonderfully intimate.

Cruising is a popular vacation option for millions of travelers around the world in large part because of its convenience. Travelers stay in one room for the entire trip while the boat travels from port to port. Cruisers enjoy lots of world-class amenities like restaurants, shows and water activities on board, and they also have the option to disembark and sightsee or participate in excursions when the ship docks. These cruise lines offer a variety of amenities and activities for families, making sure everyone has an unforgettable experience. Everywhere you turn there are smaller touches designed to pamper guests. For example, the ships have the “Princess Luxury Bed” that’s a step above what you’ll find on most cruise ships.

Comparing cruise prices across websites

For travelers whose vacation budgets have no limits, consider upgrading to "the most exclusive address at sea" — the Regent Suite. It features a 4,000-square-foot stateroom with top-notch amenities. These include a private car and driver in every port, an exclusive private dining experience and an in-suite spa with unlimited treatments. Couples looking for the best cruise lines for a romantic adventure should make reservations with Viking Ocean Cruises. All Viking cruise ships are adults-only, so couples can enjoy their trip without interruptions from other travelers' children on board. The cruise line has a definite focus on luxury and service, with an atmosphere aimed toward more refined travelers.

Additionally, larger cabins and extra perks like early boarding usually come at a higher cost. However, you should purchase your insurance immediately after booking your trip. First, this ensures coverage if your trip is canceled or you can’t travel. Second, purchasing early may qualify you for add-on coverage like “cancel for any reason,” which is typically available only within a specific period (about 15 days) after you book your trip.

This honest feedback and travel inspiration also make it one of the best websites to book a cruise. Its message boards offer ways for website visitors to ask questions and share feedback with others based on their personal experiences and opinions. The site also acts as a metasearch for cruise deals, pulling in prices from multiple cruise websites. The cruise line has a partnership with Lego, so creative kids who love to build will be thrilled.

As well, older ships are undergoing the “Celebrity Revolution” — a $500 million upgrade plan across the fleet to redesign and add new features. Many NCL ships offer studios that don’t have a double occupancy charge. Known as the “Fun Ships,” the vibe on Carnival is always relaxed and never stuffy or formal. That relaxed atmosphere along with a low price point means you get a wide range of passengers, ranging from families with kids to college-aged kids and those simply wanting a getaway without spending a fortune. MSC Cruises are unique as they have recently made a push into the North American market after originating in Europe (originally as a shipping company). MSC has done an amazing job of designing big and beautiful new cruise ships and making them accessible with more friendly pricing models for a wider variety of consumers.

Whether you just need some "me time" or are looking to meet new people, Norwegian features an extensive inventory of single cabins called studios. These staterooms are an average of 100 square feet with a full-size bed and separate sink and shower areas. When you dine aboard a Regent cruise, you'll experience world-class chefs as well as sommeliers to pair your wine to your meal. Dining options include a variety of restaurants serving French cuisine, Pan-Asian dishes, Italian specialties, steak and more. Travelers can choose departure ports from the Americas, the Mediterranean, Asia, Scandinavia, Northern Europe and more.

Progreso Mexico cruise port things to do Discover Yucatan with David Carbs

They have a few locations around Progreso, but the closest to the cruise shuttle terminal is in the Mercado Municipal. The pier was initially constructed as a fishing pier and was a central location for the local area’s important salt trade. In 1929, the Mexican government designated the site as a historical monument, and it quickly became a must-see attraction for visitors. Within easy walking distance from the pier there is a public beach with bars and restaurants. Other facilities include offices, workshops, warehouses, gantry cranes and special equipment. The port is located on the Gulf of Mexico (Caribbean Sea) in the state's northwestern part, approx 30 km (17 mi) highway distance north of Merida (Yucatan's capital and largest city).

Be careful — the last shuttle leaves one hour before the ship leaves. We suggest giving yourself plenty of time to get back to the ship as the last few shuttles can be busy. MeridaIf you’re a fan of history, then a trip to Merida is just the thing. The city of roughly 1 million was founded by the Spanish in the 1500s and is just about 30 minutes from Progreso. From museums to old Spanish architecture (including ancient churches) to food, Merida is a fascinating city with a lot to see.

Progreso sits on the northern edge of the Yucatan Peninsula. That location makes it one of the closest ports of call for places like Galveston, New Orleans, and Mobile. Instead of a cruise line sailing a day, visiting Cozumel, and then sailing back home, Progreso adds another port that passengers can visit. But there is an ATM in the bus station where the shuttle stops in the city center. Close by, on Calle 80 #145, there is an HSBC bank with an ATM. On this main street, the Mercado Popular is a large craft market painted in turquoise cruise visitors will not miss right in front of the 120-foot white lighthouse.

The best time to visit on a cruise depends on your budget and how well you can handle the heat. However, it’s always wise to exercise caution and be mindful of personal belongings while exploring the town and its surroundings. Lots of history with buildings dating back to the 1500s and the oldest cathedral of the Americas. Your journey begins with a scenic two-hour ride that lets you sit back and enjoy the changing scenes of Mexico's beautiful landscapes before arriving at Chichen Itza. Cargo Ships vs Aircraft Carriers: Which Is Bigger?

cruise ship vs aircraft carrier

From history’s largest battleships to iconic passenger vessels, like the RMS Titanic, nothing captures the imagination quite like a sea-faring giant. That’s why we’re stacking up an aircraft carrier vs cruise ship and seeing how these vessels roam our seas. Of course, cruise ships will always be limited in terms of size by the ports that they visit.

Q: What safety and security measures are implemented on aircraft carriers and cruise ships?

Although both ships are built to survive the hardships of ocean travel, their respective missions and operating needs necessitate special design elements. The main difference in size between a cruise ship and an aircraft carrier is their length and displacement. Cruise ships are generally longer and have a larger displacement compared to aircraft carriers.

Costa Cruises Costa Smeralda

Fighter jets, helicopters, and other types of aircraft can be launched from and recovered by aircraft carriers, which are vessels designed expressly for naval combat. As a result, they have enormous flight decks for operating aircraft and are made to fit big air squadrons. Both types of vessels exhibit some similarities in their layout and features, while being made for quite distinct reasons. For instance, both ships include various decks, dining rooms, and entertainment facilities to keep passengers and crew happy and comfortable. The arrival of Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration over the past two years has marked a major turning point for the line. At around 180,000 tons, they rank at No. 15 and No. 13, respectively, among the world's largest cruise ships — the only Carnival ships to crack the Top 20.

Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas

The superstructure on an aircraft carrier can measure up to 200 feet in height. On the other hand, cruise ships usually have a lower profile, with their highest point being the passenger decks and amenities such as water slides, observation decks, or even funnels. To help you compare the sizes, we've rounded up and ranked the 30 largest cruise ships in the world by gross tonnage (which is a measure of volume, not weight). We've included other stats, such as passenger capacity (both double occupancy and max occupancy) plus length and beam (the width at the widest point of the vessel). These vacation-ready giants of the sea seem to push the boundaries of size year after year.

Could Iran's Missiles Sink a U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier?.

In contrast, cruise ship diesel engines need constant fueling and maintenance to operate at their best. On the other hand, an aircraft carrier is a massive warship designed to transport and deploy military aircraft. While they can carry a significant number of crew members, aircraft carriers are not designed to accommodate large numbers of passengers like a cruise ship.

How Big Are Aircraft Carriers Compared to Cruise Ships?

Where you won't find Carnival ships, notably, is in Asia, South America or, for the most part, Europe. Unlike other big cruise brands such as Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Line and Princess Cruises, Carnival doesn't spread its vessels around the world to draw a fly-in crowd. Aimed squarely at Americans, its trips are all about cruising close to home at a reasonable price. The Navy’s failure over the years to replace the Ticos with new ships it calls cruisers means the ADC role is going to have to shift to ships the fleet doesn’t call cruisers. Indeed, over time the term “cruiser” more or less have become synonymous with the air-defense commander role. In the Navy, for as long as almost anyone in the fleet can remember, cruisers do ADC and the ADC job goes to cruisers.

cruise ship vs aircraft carrier

In terms of experience, standing on the deck of an aircraft carrier or a cruise ship can be awe-inspiring. The sheer size and weight of these vessels create a sense of grandeur and power. Additionally, the displacement of these ships directly impacts their stability in the water.

Onboard, there are 18 decks (15 of which are passenger-accessible) and 2,405 staterooms onboard. Carnival's Celebration, which launched in November 2022, is a sister ship to the famed Mardi Gras and a "celebration" for the cruise line's 50th birthday year. The Celebration cruise ship, which is fueled by cleaner burning LNG, has 20 decks and 2,687 staterooms and suites. MSC entered the top ten in 2022 when World Europa made its maiden voyage in December of that year. It has 2,700 staterooms, 430,000 square feet of public space, 16 total decks and even an 11-foot dry slide called the Spiral, among the longest dry slide at sea. World Europa is the first of four total ships in MSC's World-class fleet, with the second ship World America set to launch in 2025.

Cruise ships are outfitted with fire suppression systems, CCTV systems, complex weather detection and communications systems, and lifeboats to keep their guests and crew safe. Plus, the entire crew and security staff are trained to follow the safety procedures needed to keep everyone safe in any situation. Beyond offering a detailed size comparison, this comprehensive guide will also uncover differences in the purposes, maneuverability, and environmental impacts of these two types of ships. Before Icon, Wonder of the Seas was the biggest in the fleet, with a gross tonnage of 236,857 GT.

Cruise ships are usually measured in terms of length, internal volume (gross tonnage) and passenger capacity. Taking on a few paying passengers to create an added revenue stream is nice, but it is not priority one on a freighter cruise. For that reason alone, this is not a good option for many budget travelers. Cruise lines tend to target ports that are favored tourist destinations. Some relatively small port cities host several large luxury liners at the same time. The odds are slim that you will put into a small port congested with tourists.

Unsurprisingly, all of this complexity comes with an eye-watering price tag. Most of the latest classes of aircraft carriers, like the Nimitz-Class carriers operated by the United States, cost over $6 billion to build. The newest cruise ships use liquefied natural gas (LNG) rather than diesel.

The security and safety of the crew and guests are also top priorities on cruise ships. Numerous safety precautions, including lifeboats, fire suppression systems, and cutting-edge navigational equipment, are included on these vessels. Closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems and security staff are also provided on modern cruise ships to keep an eye out for any potential security risks. A cruise ship's top speed is 22–24 knots (41–44 km/h), but an aircraft carrier can typically go at knots (55–65 km/h).

The different parts of the engine are divided into separate water-tight compartments, one for the main engines and another for the heating and air-conditioning system. If a penetration to the hull or fire happens, multiple compartments help contain the damage. The photo below shows a 400-meter-long container ship, one of the biggest in the world. Cabins sport a minimalist look with futuristic touches, and suites exude a rock 'n' roll vibe with in-room turntables and peekaboo showers. It's important to think that through before narrowing down your choices.

Some whales are very small, such as the dwarf sperm whale, which is just nine feet long. Cruise ships have been getting larger all the time, with a demand for mega cruise ships coming from cruisers championing the notion that ‘bigger is better’. The difference between mega-ships and their medium-sized cousins comes in terms of width, height and internal volume. The USS Gerald R. Ford, the largest warship ever constructed, greatly surpasses the Titanic in terms of size.
